What are the differences between TIthing, Offering and Pledging?

Tithing refers to the practice of giving a minimum of 10% of one's income to the church. The purpose of tithing is to support the work of the church and to help those in need. While tithing is a mandatory spiritual discipline for all Christians, giving the offering is a voluntary act of generosity that is encouraged in the Bible.

Tithing

Offering is a voluntary contribution that is made in addition to tithing. It is an act of worship and gratitude towards God.Offerings can be given for various purposes, such assupporting missionaries, helping the poor, or contributingto the church's general fund.

Offering

Pledging is a commitment to give a specific amount of money(usually the tithe) over a period of time, weekly, monthly or annually. Pledging helps the church to plan its budgetand ministries for the coming year.
