Reading the Bible daily is a very important spiritual discipline to grow as a Christian.

The Bible tells us the story of:

  • How God made a perfect world (Creation),

  • How man sinned against God, introducing brokenness in the world (Fall),

  • God’s initiative to save, rescue and restore man ultimately through Jesus (Redemption), and

  • A perfect final renewal where God brings in a new heaven and earth and his kingdom is fully established (Consummation).

Scripture introduces us to Jesus, our Lord. Scripture teaches us how to live in this world as God's people. It is one of God's great gifts to us.

Yet, many Christians struggle to read through the Bible. They get stuck (usually somewhere in the Old Testament) and get discouraged and stop. Or they read haphazardly – a chapter here, a verse there. They know some parts of the Bible well, such as the New Testament, or some Psalms, but have not read through other parts.

Hence this Bible reading plan aims to help you to read through all of the Bible, in two years. You don't have to think "what shall I read next?" You just need to follow the plan! It really helps to read with others so you can encourage each other.
