Outreach & Social Concerns

The Greatest Commandment

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31)

The biblical mandate is clear: the Church is to love God and love our neighbours. Reaching out in love is not simply an act of charity; it reflects our understanding of God's divine solidarity with the marginalized (Matt 25:35-40) and expresses our appreciation for God's grace shown to us. Ultimately, loving and serving others both exhibits and deepens our faith.

About Our Ministry

The Outreach and Social Concerns ministry and our volunteers seek to make the presence and love of Jesus Christ real in the lives of others, rally the church to take action to help and bless others together, and develop a Christian response to social issues in the local community.

How can you contribute

Love202x connects volunteers with families in our community for a season of genuine friendship and practical support.

At MWS Bethany Nursing Home, we serve residents through monthly befriending sessions, Sunday worship services at the home, and festive programmes during Chinese New Year and Christmas.
