I thank God for Gilgal in Christ; I thank God for whatever I have; I thank God for the promises laid up that I can hold on to, and even the hope that is to come. But I don't want to camp where I am. Gilgal is for something else that's up ahead. Gilgal is not the end; Gilgal is only a transition.

Let's thank God for Gilgal, but let's not camp at Gilgal. Remember Israel in Joshua chapter 5? They came to a point of Gilgal - it was special, it was significant. They stayed there for a moment just to bask in it, but they didn't remain there. Because the rolling is for the calling!

So I challenge you once more, my friends: be counted as God's people in the roll call. Be counted, be consecrated, and set apart for His use - set apart from the things of this world. From Gilgal, move forward to conquer, to take the land - not physical land, but to invade hearts for the kingdom of God; take hearts for Jesus Christ. And as you do that, you'll discover and inherit God's promises in a very different way. As we do that, let's remember again the steadfast love of God - His mercies endure forever; His faithfulness is something we can always stand on. So, friends, let's move forward from Gilgal.
