Biblical Views on Stewardship, Investments and Insurance

Is it possible to grow your wealth faithfully β€” without letting money grow into an idol? This talk unpacks what the Bible really says about money, investing, and managing risk, tracing how faith and financial prudence intersect in the everyday decisions Christians face.

What the Talk Covers

The talk opens by asking a foundational question β€” what is money, really? β€” before turning to Scripture, biblical scholarship, and real-world financial principles to explore 5 compelling questions:

1. What is biblical stewardship, and why does God claim 100% ownership of all we hold (Psalm 24:1)?
2. Is investing biblical β€” and what do the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25) and the Parable of the Ten Minas (Luke 19) teach about growing what God entrusts to us?
3. Is investing in shares the same as gambling?
4. Where exactly does wise investment cross the line into speculation?
5. Should Christians buy insurance, or does it signal a lack of trust in God's provision?

Who Should Attend

Ideal for Christians thinking through wealth accumulation and financial freedom who want a biblically-grounded framework β€” rather than pure secular finance advice β€” for handling money with integrity and purpose.
