We are not called to be living sacrifices in order to earn salvation. We are living sacrifices in response to God’s gift of salvation to us. Without salvation, being a living sacrifice is meaningless.

We are called to be living sacrifices. All of our life is worship unto God. It sounds nice and beautiful, but at often times, it is a struggle. It is a wrestle. And as we submit to God and worship Him, God uses this to transform us. Our worship is not wasted in the hands of God.

We are called to a life of holiness. Our spiritual act of worship has to be holy and acceptable. This is where we go deeper, because it is in this arena of holiness that Godly character is built in our lives.

We are called to be transformed. We are not to be conformed to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This is an ongoing renewal.

We go deeper in our relationship with God by testing and discerning the will of God. Testing is painful and uncomfortable, but in the hands of God, we can be assured that He is shaping us and moulding us to be who He wants us to be.

Testing brings us closer to Him, brings about a hunger for Him. Testing leads us to worship. Testing leads us to surrender.
