There are three aspects of the community of faith we can draw from Paul's teachings.
The first is unity. In 1 Corinthians 12, where Paul uses the analogy of the body to describe how the different parts in the church have this organic relationship in the community of faith. All sorts of people make up the church, but there is no distinction to say who is more important than others. We acknowledge that there are distinctions, but we also maintain that these distinctions do not matter. What is important is that we are one in Christ. Unity is already given to us by the Spirit of God but we need to guard it and make every effort to overcome problems that come in the way of this unity.
For the community of faith to be marked by a commitment to the truth of God, the individuals in the community must be committed to reading the Word of God diligently and studying Scriptures carefully. This is so that we can grow in our knowledge of the Son of God.
A community of faith is marked by love. When you have love, you will be able to demonstrate compassion, kindness, and humility. Jesus commands us to love. It has to be done, and it can be done, with God being our helper.
