Advent reminds us that God often works in the waiting and not in efficiency. Even great faith can grow weary. Sometimes the struggle isn't that God is absent but that he isn't appearing in the way we hoped.

Jesus answers weary faith with revelation and not rebuke. Jesus answers doubt by pointing to his actions and not his title. Many people can claim a title, but actions reveal the truth.

These signs are evidence that God is at work. Anchor your faith in what Jesus is doing rather than what you expect Him to do for you. Jesus turns disappointment into dignity.

Questions can become that doorway through which God retrains our vision about who He is. He honours those who wrestle honestly.

Jesus gives kingdom greatness as a gift of grace. He says, โ€œThe least in the kingdom is greater than Johnโ€. The least is not great because of what they do but because of where they stand in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Every time that you feel tired in your faith, what can you do to sustain and refresh your faith? Receive before you resume and notice mercies daily. The Lord Himself invites you to receive from Him. It retrains our vision and helps us to notice where He is already at work.

Let's do what John did - bring our questions, fatigue, and hopes to God and ask Him to meet us again. And when he meets you again, go to others and tell them what you have heard and seen.
