The difference is that the Christian goes through the judgment in Christ. We are covered by the blood of Jesus. And so, when judgment comes, we can say with full confidence, standing before the throne of God, "God, I know I've done wrong. I'm accountable for all that I have done. Yet, the blood of Jesus covers me and the penalty has been paid".
๐๐ โ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ ๐. Paul writes to the Jews and reminds them that they have no excuse because they are the ones that know the law. They are the ones that know who God is and His standards. And deeper than that, they ought to know His heart.

Are we willing to be circumcised by the Spirit, to obey Him, and to live the way He intends for us to live? Cultivating a relationship with God involves talking to Him and a transformation of our values from ours to His. It involves periods of silence, waiting, and confusion.
The reason why we can choose the tougher path is because we have a God who chose the toughest path ever. He promises us that no matter how difficult it is, no matter what we go through, He is right there with us.
