𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.

Missions has always been at the heart of God. In Genesis 3–11, we see humanity moving further and further away from God’s original intention for His creation. With each generation, sin and evil continue to increase. So what is God’s solution?

God begins a new redemption story through Abraham and Sarai. Abraham was an imperfect man, yet God chose to work through him. He was the first man called to be used by God in this new redemptive story. Abraham simply obeyed, and God used his obedience to make him a blessing to the nations.

Today, Abraham’s calling to be a blessing to the nations is fulfilled through his Seed, Jesus Christ. Through Jesus Christ working in and through His Church and His imperfect people, the nations can receive the ultimate blessing.

This blessing is about the fullness of life God intended from the beginning: people experiencing good works that bring fruitfulness, fullness, and abundance in their communities, while also hearing the good Word of the Gospel. Ultimately, it is about people finding true rest and being restored to a holy and harmonious relationship with their Creator.

As the Church, we are called to bring Christ to the nations. This means not only proclaiming the good Word of life, Christ Himself, but also doing the good works that bring transformation to our communities.

So let us be a blessing to the nations. Let us go, give, and pray, bringing both the good works and the good Word of life to a world that truly needs Christ.
