Godโs grand story starts with creation, where He said, โEverything is good.โ But sin came into the world. God loved us so much that He came to redeem us. But thatโs not the end of the story. One day, we will have a new heaven and a new earth. God is going to come, and we will dwell with Him eternally.
All of us are called into the ministry of reconciliation. We have been reconciled to our Father through the work of the cross so that we can reconcile others.
I did not have a good relationship with my mom growing up. I went through a rebellious phase where I became a staunch non-Christian. Looking back, I know my mom must have prayed a lot for me. After she passed, God used my children to bring me back to Him, and God worked in my pre-believing husbandโs heart until he was eventually baptized.
God has been faithful to our familyโacross many generations, countless prayers, and years of waiting and interceding. Our God is not far away, and He does hear us. My mom did not see the fruit of her prayers in her lifetime, but that does not mean the seed did not bear fruit. It is all in Godโs timing, in Godโs grand story.
